Application of screws on TV stands

2025-01-10

1, Application of connection types of screws on TV brackets

Fixed bracket on the wall

Expansion screws are commonly used to secure TV stands to walls.

It consists of components such as screws and expansion tubes. When the expansion screw is inserted into the pre drilled wall hole and the nut is tightened, the expansion tube will expand and be firmly fixed inside the wall, providing a stable support point for the TV bracket. For example, it is often used in the installation of wall mounted TV brackets to ensure that the bracket is firmly attached to the wall and can withstand the weight of the TV without loosening.

Connect the TV to the stand

Self tapping screws are commonly used to connect the TV to the TV stand.

The thread of the self tapping screw can enter the threaded hole of the connected part by itself, without the need for pre drilling and tapping. On the TV bracket, it may be used to connect the back of the TV to the hanging arm of the bracket, making the operation more convenient.

2, Specification and application of screws on TV brackets

According to the size of the TV

M6 screws, with a diameter of approximately 6mm, are suitable for bracket installation on medium-sized televisions (32-55 inches) as they are heavier and require thicker screws to provide stronger support.

M8 screws, with a diameter of approximately 8mm, are mainly used for bracket installation of large-sized televisions (over 55 inches). These televisions are heavier and therefore require thicker screws to ensure safety and stability.

Generally speaking, common specifications for TV bracket screws include M4, M5, M10, and even M12.

Small TVs or brackets that do not require high load-bearing capacity may use M4 or M5 screws;

Large televisions or brackets that require higher load-bearing capacity may use screws of M8 or higher specifications.

According to length requirements

Different installation scenarios may require screws of different lengths.

For example, when connecting thick walls or TV bracket components, longer screws may be required to ensure a secure connection.

However, there is no fixed standard pattern for the specific length, which will be selected according to actual installation needs. For example, M4X20mm screws may be used for certain specific TV bracket connection scenarios.

3, The importance of screws in TV bracket installation

Ensure stability

Screws are key elements that connect the various components of a TV stand together.

Whether fixing the bracket to the wall or the TV to the bracket, appropriate screws can ensure the stability of the entire structure and prevent the TV from shaking, tilting, or even falling off during use.

For example, if screws with a diameter that is too small are used when installing a large-sized TV, they may not be able to withstand the weight of the TV, causing the bracket to loosen.

Ensure safety

If the TV is not installed securely, it may cause property damage and even pose a threat to personal safety if it falls off.

And screws with qualified quality and appropriate specifications can effectively avoid such dangerous situations and ensure the safety of the home environment.

4, Material application of TV bracket screws

Stainless steel material

Stainless steel screws have good corrosion resistance and are suitable for use in various environments, especially in damp or corrosive environments, such as TV installation scenarios near kitchens or bathrooms.

The strength of stainless steel screws can also meet the requirements of most
